Digital Portfolio

Digital Portfolio Reflection

1.     Portraiture appeals to me most.
2.     Portraiture can reveal a lot about the subject. It can depict their emotions and feelings, their interest and their persona. This allows the photo to tell a story, making it more interesting to look out. Also it would allow the viewer to relate to it on an emotional level.
3.     My strengths in photography include following the rules of photography such as the rule of thirds. Also, capturing subjects at the right moment; whether they’re smiling, laughing, or even zoned out! This adds depth tom photos and makes them more appealing to the viewers.
4.     “Windy” best exemplifies these strength. It portrays the rule of thirds, taken from an interesting angle, and captured at the right moment when the balloons are flying, revealing the girls’ joyfulness.
5.     An area I need to improve in photography would be manipulation using Photoshop.
6.     “Museum Building” shows very basic manipulation skills. Although it still looks good, it lacks some advance Photoshop skills.
7.     “Foggy”

This photo depicts the gloomy and dull feel of winter. However, it holds the message of hope. It’s foggy and unclear behind the iceberg, but clear with calm turquois water in front of it. it successfully conveys the message I hoped for.
